I love surfing through the world wide web of technology. What did we ever do without computers and cellphones? Who'da thunk it - we can now communicate with people all over the world, people we've never met, in countries we've never been to, and consider them friends. Yes, you can be friends with someone just because you share common interests. You don't have to meet someone face-to-face to be their friend. Isn't that refreshing? How our horizons have broadened, thanks to the technology age.
Thanks to the cell phone, we can text, email, and talk to anyone, anywhere. We can even snap a photo and post it immediately to share what we're doing or seeing with our friends. Heck, my phone even has GPS capability so I really can no longer use the excuse that I don't know where something is. But, I can still use the excuse that I've never been there. I've never been most places, but I'm working on that. It's called my Bucket List.
Cell phones can stream music and videos. The cell phone has risen to the highest rank of miniature computer, in my opinion. I ♥ my cellphone and am a (proud) Facebook addict. I was recently checking out at a department store when a couple of young girls in the line next to me mentioned Angry Birds. I spoke up and said, "Oh! LOVE it! Play it all.the.time!" They gave me an odd look, then one of them said, "Well.....it spans GENERATIONS. People of ALL ages like to play." Ahem. So, they thought I was an old fogey who plays Angry Birds. They were probably shocked that I even owned a cell phone; maybe they even thought I communicated with tin cans and string. HA!
